premier companies active in the barbecue business. This is
significant due to a recognized trend of broader enjoyment of
barbecue outside its traditional southern homeland. Attendees at the
conference came to Raleigh from as far away as Singapore focused on
learning improved barbecue techniques and to sample the latest
contest entries.
The next NBBQA Awards of Excellence Contest and People’s Choice
Awards will be judged at the beginning of 2008 and announced at the
17th Annual Conference and Exposition in February 2008 in Austin,
